Burn Ban is Off! & Notice to all our Boat Owners
October 26, 2006 -- Here's the news all you fall campers have been waiting for...the burn ban in Medina County has been lifted, so campfires are once again permitted! Hooray, so come on out with your fixin's for weenie roasts and s'mores.
For our Boat Owners:
We have already experienced our first high-winds storm which wreaked havoc with several boats. Just a friendly reminder to the slip/mooring tenants that the fall/winter storms will soon be upon us and we need each of you to come check on your boats to make sure your ropes and bumpers are in good condition and that your covers are secure. We do what we can in the event of an emergency without risking life or limb to secure your property, but it is ultimately your responsibility to make sure your boat is secure at all times. We do not intervene in the event of a dangerous situation.
For our dry storage tenants, you will want to make sure your plugs are out and your covers are secured to prevent weather damage to your boat in the elements, and to prevent becoming pround parents to a litter of wild kittens! Your boat will need to be checked after storms to make sure your cover is still secure (and not pooling water which will rip your cover) and to be sure your boat has drained excess water so you don't have engine problems in the spring.
As always, we will notify you if we need to bring urgent matters to your attention. Thank you for your patronage and cooperation.
