Update On The Lake

August 24, 2006 -- According to information received today, Medina Lake is down 29 feet 2 inches below the spillway. Irrigation should be stopped this next Thursday, at which time only municipal water will continue to be drawn.

Joe's Place IS still launching boats from the cement road out of our south cove, and we have parking for about 60 trucks and trailers. (We are on the deep end of the lake, so there's still plenty of water for you to have a fun day.) We do ask boaters to be back in by dark since this extended ramp condition does not have lighting.

For you fishermen, the crappie were being caught in abundance last Friday by our dock fishermen (they were actually ladies, and had a great time AND a great catch!)

Don't forget the upcoming Labor Day Weekend -- make your reservations now to assure your spot for fun. We still have some primitive campsites, day use picnic sites, and 2 RV sites available (full hook-ups). Medina County is still under a Burn Ban, but since the temps are so hot, who needs a campfire anyway! BBQ pits ARE provided at each site.

Planning a fall get-away, a company function, holiday party, family reunion? Contact us for info on our cabin rental and party room availability. We have the 2 boats still available for rent to add some extra fun to your event, or for a quiet day on the lake.

Now that school's back in, just a little reminder to be aware of the little ones and the bus stops on the County Roads out this way. Keep an eye out for those flashing lights! Drive safe, be safe, help keep the kids safe.

The season isn't over yet, so we'll see you when we see you!
